This training is based on a unique and exciting model
for personal and social change called
which has evolved over thirty years of experience and
feedback. The model focuses on learning how to create
unconditionally loving containers for people of all
ages and backgrounds to come together in celebration
of themselves and each other.
We ground our work in the body as the keeper of our
wisdom and as the center for transformation, finding
our way to a deeper sense of self-love through listening
to our bodies, to each other, and to our creative impulses.
Together we build the bridge between loving ourselves
and reaching out to others in our families and communities
with unconditional acceptance. We will play with the
body as the healing bridge, trusting the sensations,
the organs, the movements, the breath, and the sounds
of the body to tell us the truth with no judgment.
There will be improvisational movement, community singing,
writing poetry, theatre games, and making collages with
plenty of time for sharing and integrating new information,
making friends, and opening your heart! |

Saturday afternoon we will register and get settled into
our space, and Saturday evening we will gather and begin
our week together. Beginning Sunday, classes will be offered
daily from 8:45 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. with an hour and
a half lunch break, except for Wednesday, when we will
meet from 8:30 until 12:45, and then the rest of the day
will be unscheduled until evening.
Evenings will offer time for informal performing and discussions
as a community. This will also be a great time for journaling
and personal reflection, art projects, sharing with new
friends, or just resting.
Every morning and evening, we will gather to dance and
sing together to live music. During the day we will have
time to practice and deepen our understanding of the
model, explore the creative play classes of our choice,
and work on creative projects. A wide range of choices
in activities will be offered throughout the day, including
movement composition classes, improvisational theatre
games, guided authentic movement, visual art and poetry
activities, vocalizing and group singing.
To mark the end of a wonderful week, Friday night’s
gathering will celebrate new possibilities, deep learning,
and great friendships with joyous dancing to live music,
playing and feasting, and more informal improvisational
performance. |
