Confetti 2000
"We loved it as it flowed in all directions, advancing and retreating like ocean waves and cresting individuals. The presentation exuded energy, whimsy, and playfulness, catching both players and audience in its spell. We felt joyful to participate in this wondrous creation, which melded different stories into coherent art." Marilyn Amer, professor, University of Colorado.

Confetti 2000, the company's very successful national outreach program, established ongoing communities in ten cities across the United States and Canada (Greenwich, Connecticut/ New York, New York; Denver/Boulder, Colorado; Seattle, Washington; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Wilmington, North Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; Andover/Lawrence, Massachusetts; Laramie, Wyoming; Los Angeles, California ; San Francisco/Oakland, California; Halifax, Nova Scotia). With our partners in each city we collaborated with over 300 organizations nationwide to reach youth, seniors, and underserved physically and mentally challenged populations. In our workshops and classes we taught over 3600 people and interacted with an additional 1500 people as audience members for the individual city showings
The project culminated in "Confetti Conspiracy," an epic piece of art which included 100 performers from twelve different cities across the United States and Canada, including thirty-five performers from the Boulder community. This very diverse group of performers brought together their different stories and perspectives to create a piece of art that both moved and challenged audience members with its beauty and its courage.
"Confetti 2000" was the story of a group of very diverse human beings finding their way into creating a loving community and finding their own personal roles in making that community a good place to be. It is an ongoing story of old and young, and every body in between, taking back with them a new sense of who they are in their own hearts, and a new idea of who they can be in their community at home.
